The first web publishers were those webmasters comfortable enough with html to create webpages and insert information inside them. Webmasters were the first Web influencers. Then came the personal Websites and the blogs: From then on, knowing Web languages were not required anymore to publish information online. A lot of Internet stars were born during that period when blogging was pioneering.

If a blog is a good expression tool, one needs an audience to communicate, and that's when social networks stepped in the game: Friendster, Myspace, and then Facebook, became the entrance to the Web for the vast majority of today's web users. Social networks made it possible to connect online around common interests, to build communities and trust. Then there was Twitter, and finally, there's been Didier Gaultier on Twitter. I joined in, and you should too!
